Daily Blog Challenge: Day 28

What is your love language? 


I took the quiz. I didn't actually know what the five love languages were. I took a quiz to find out more. I was shocked at how well it encompasses me. My love languages ranging from the most to the least. 


Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time, Recieving Gifts 


I want my hubby to take the same quiz but I can guess what his top two would be. They are most likely Physical touch and Quality time. I am guessing these because those are the two things he often mentions. 


So what is acts of service? I would rather my hubby help me clean the house, offer to watch the girls, give me a massage, or cook dinner, than for him to buy me something or even watch a movie together. I feel loved through simple acts and effort. 


I think it is more important to know what the love language of your spouse is than to know your own. I make the effort to meet my spouses love language. I know that by just sitting next to him when he watches a movie he feels loved. He like for me to be physically close but not necessarily to communicate.

    I love this book, and how it talks about different dialects within the love languages. My top two are like yours (but words of affirmation is first) and Kris' are physical touch and quality time. It is amazing the difference it can make when you speak each other's love language. It takes concentrated effort for me to take Kris' hand or hug him, or watch a movie without blogging at the same time but these things make him feel loved.

I decided to take Abbie to the bookstore a little over a week ago, on Friday September 21st. I was in hope of finding some book series that I could get her to read that would spark a love of reading. I naturally do not have a love for reading but rather lothe it.  When I was growing up I had several issues with reading and never truly felt sucked into a book like I would hear other describe. I Could Have Just Died (Most Embarrassing Moment)

I haven't done a writing prompt from Mama Kat's Workshop, so when I saw that one of the prompts was to tell an embarrassing story I thought I just had to share. Hopefully, this will lift your day as it usually seems to get a good chuckle out of my friends and family. I don't usually embarrass easily, I contribute it to the fact that I am silly and usually like to do weird things. I have also stated that I like to be completely honest with people. There is a kind of freedom that comes with transparency. The day seemed like any other. We had gone to my mother in laws house to pick up Abbie, she was only a couple years old at the time. How NOT to Impress a Crush (Most Embarrassing Moment Part 2)

I recently did a post on my most embarrassing moment inspired by Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop. After writing it I had comments asking me to share the other embarrassing moment that I had mentioned in the other post. So here it goes... It was pretty bad.  During my sophomore year of high school there was a guy in my home room that I had a crush on. He was handsome, was in a band, and was funny. We shared the same group of friends. One night his parents were out of town and he was having a pool party at his house after his band preformed. It was going to be the coolest event. When we got there he showed all of the girls where we could go to change into our swim suits. I had the chance to change and joined everyone at the pool. It was the most fun time.
