Financial Struggles...

I may have titled this Financial struggle but the real struggle is in having faith that God will provide. Sometimes I feel like my head and my heart don't connect because I can know something with my head but still struggle to believe it. I know that God can, will, and has provided for us but when I see how close we cut it with the bills it worries me and I start to feel anxious. God provided for us the entire time my husband was off work and even through the first pay check. I know that things will be a little easier in a few weeks when the paychecks start coming in but for some reason I still worry. I only have two bills that are going to be just two weeks late when the next check comes in, and they aren't even dire. I will just have to keep praying that God can put my anxiousness to rest and can help me with my unbelief.


1 Peter 1:6-9 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.







Matthew 9:21-27 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
   “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
    “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
  Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
  When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
  The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.”  But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up."

I decided to take Abbie to the bookstore a little over a week ago, on Friday September 21st. I was in hope of finding some book series that I could get her to read that would spark a love of reading. I naturally do not have a love for reading but rather lothe it.  When I was growing up I had several issues with reading and never truly felt sucked into a book like I would hear other describe. The star wars book were a huge solution to my parents struggle to get my oldest brother to read. He founds something he connected with and had a passion for. I want that for Abbie. We picked her up a book about a mermaid. We have yet to start it due to the chapter books she has to read for school. I am hoping to get back into the rhythm of things at home. I also decided that it is important for her to see me reading more, if I want her to read. I Could Have Just Died (Most Embarrassing Moment)

I haven't done a writing prompt from Mama Kat's Workshop, so when I saw that one of the prompts was to tell an embarrassing story I thought I just had to share. Hopefully, this will lift your day as it usually seems to get a good chuckle out of my friends and family. I don't usually embarrass easily, I contribute it to the fact that I am silly and usually like to do weird things. I have also stated that I like to be completely honest with people. There is a kind of freedom that comes with transparency. The day seemed like any other. We had gone to my mother in laws house to pick up Abbie, she was only a couple years old at the time. Any trip to my mother in laws house is not a quick one, and usually I don't mind it. I went and sat on her front porch to "catch some fresh air", which was my code for smoking a cigarette. How NOT to Impress a Crush (Most Embarrassing Moment Part 2)

I recently did a post on my most embarrassing moment inspired by Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop. After writing it I had comments asking me to share the other embarrassing moment that I had mentioned in the other post. So here it goes... It was pretty bad.  During my sophomore year of high school there was a guy in my home room that I had a crush on. He was handsome, was in a band, and was funny. We shared the same group of friends. One night his parents were out of town and he was having a pool party at his house after his band preformed. It was going to be the coolest event. When we got there he showed all of the girls where we could go to change into our swim suits. I had the chance to change and joined everyone at the pool. It was the most fun time. Time went so quickly and soon I had to run before I missed my curfew. I threw my clothes on over my swimsuit, jumped in my car, and got home.
